Well, let's just say that I've been busy doing "nerd" work....haha, I have now designed and got up my parents church website (Greensboro Mennonite Fellowship) and the church plant website for the one out in a town called Graham as well (Outlet 10.27)...they are here:

Wow, so today was a great day.  In the morning I went with my Dad to a meeting of church leaders.  But this isn't your ordinary pastors meeting.  We went to an emergent group leaders meeting.  These are guys who are tired of where church is right now and what to transform church into today's emergent society.  I was intrigued and loved it.

To give more of a background these pastors come from baptist churches to mennonite churches.  At today's meeting there were about 10 different pastors and me, who isn't exactly a pastor, but hey, I am going to be a worship leader this summer.

Anyway, the meeting this morning we watched a film from a speaker and he was talking about the six hard truths churches need to face today.  It was eye opening, at times hard to hear, but every part of it resounded in me and I saw it in the church of today.  One of the biggest things that stuck out to me that he said was that God is already out there.  Too often as churches we believe that we need to take God to the world, but God is already out there working.  Thank you God for that truth.  Also, another part was about how we need to get away from trying to just give spiritual laws when we talk to people and how we need to engage them in conversation.  It's in the conversation that we can truly relate to them and show them God's love.

So to say the least I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting.....so what do you think about the post-modern generation, church?  I believe that churches need to do something if we are going to be reaching out to our communities.

Anyway, I've been enjoying my time here at home and am looking forward very much so to this summer......and then the fall whatever that entails

Hey

Well, It's been forever and a day since I've updated, but things are going well.  I'm back in the states and am down here in NC.  It's good, it's just hard sometimes because I don't really know anyone down here.  But, it is certainly good to see family again.

So what's in the plans for me?  Well, this summer I'm the worship leader at Camp Hebron which I'm totally pumped about, but a little nervous as well because I'll be doing a lot of singing and guitar playing.

Then for after this summer?  I wish I knew...I've applied at two places and hope to hear a good response back from one

Anyway, that's it, I hope you stay blessed....

So, it's been a while since I've updated.

Anyway, this summer rocked.  I worked at camp hebron once again and God did some incredible things in my campers lives and my life.  I learned so much on just how to listen to what God has to say and so forth.  So yeah, great summer.

Next sunday I leave for training for being a YES team leader.  I'm excited and nervous at the same time.  It will be good though.  I have four people on my team.  Two guys and two girls.

So we train for two months in Harrisburg and then we leave November 3rd for Puerto Montt, Chile where we will be for six months.  I get back April 26th.  Our ministry there will be to go to the islands and work with house churches, and also do some after school teaching of English and other miscellaneous stuff.  We may even possibly go to the mountains for a time.

I'm excited, and yet, I know that I will be leaving a lot of people back here that I know.  So it will be tough not being in physical contact with most of you. But I will have e-mail and phone communication.  So that is good.

You can pray that I can raise the rest of my support and that I start to remember spanish fast   Haha, part of training will be language training, but I can always use more prayer.

On a side note, I'm not going to be a PA'er anymore.  My parents got a job down in NC.  So I'm moving this fall.  Well, my parents are.  I'll be in training at the time.  So pray for that as well as there is a lot of transition right now.

Take care and God Bless

Well, what can I say?  Less than a week and I'm a graduate....a graduate.....I can't even fathom it.  This was only something I dreamed of as a child.  Wow!  God is good though, and he is faithful, and I will make it through this next period in my life.

He will be with me, and will comfort me.

To my friends here at millersville though, wow, I never would've though it would be this amazing.  Bear with me as I list some of the amazing things we've done or things that have happened to me:

candycane lane, ucf beach trips, ucf winter retreats, getting kidnapped on one of my birthdays (thanks natalie and bess), west virginia with MDS, Peru missions trip, kickball, movies in the SMC, midnight bfast (wow, some experiences here),  wednesday night care group (potter house one, and then the commuter one), IV coffeehouses (playing some jars of clay with scotty r., anyone remember that?),  trips to Powerhouse at Messiah college (it was worth it), random trips to baltimore (eating at some italian spot there), trips to cabins, raquetball, intramural sports (never winning ), changing majors, bday parties, OUTLET (wow, a vision made into reality) and so much more.....

Seriously, I don't deserve all these wonderful memories.....and yet the Lord has blessed me with all of them.  Who can fathom his wonderful love?

So yeah, and then life these last few days have been amazing as well.  I got to be on the radio for two call-ins on saturday with WJTL.  Some good experience for when I may have a job.

This next year is going to be crazy busy.....I'm going on vacation the week after graduation, then going to the beach again the next week, then it's our church retreat (The old youth of the church will be doing the worship), including me, so you can pray for that.  Then camp starts and goes to the beginning of august.  Then two weeks after that starts my missions training.   Chile still isn't confirmed for that, so if you can pray for that too, it'd be great.

By the way, if you want updates through email when I'm overseas, please give me your email addresses.

Finally, this has been long, but point of this is, that God is good and I'm so blessed to be who I am and who He has made me to be.....
